Solid experience, good filters

I ordered a Variable ND filter and a set of step-up rings. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I found the right sizes pretty easily. Shipping took about a week to the US, which was expected for international. Everything arrived well-packaged. The ND filter itself feels robust, and the image quality it produces is clean, no color shifts I could easily spot. I haven't needed customer support, so can't speak to that, but the product quality and delivery were good. It's a noticeable improvement over cheaper options I've tried.

Got the anamorphic look filter. It worked as advertised. Quality was fine. Shipping was okay. No problems.

Good value for a first filter

I was looking to get into lens filters without spending a ton. I got the CineBloom diffusion filter after signing up for their newsletter, which gave me 10% off. It felt like a good deal for what I got; quality seemed decent and the effect was what I hoped for. Definitely felt worth the price.

Decent product, slow delivery

I picked up a Black Mist filter and it's quite good, really helps with the cinematic look I was going for. The filter itself feels well-made, solid glass and threading. My main gripe was the delivery time; it took a bit longer than I anticipated, about 9 business days to arrive. It wasn't a huge rush, but I've had faster international shipping from other places. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the shipping status, so that was a plus. Overall, I'm happy with the filter, just wish it arrived a bit quicker.

Consistent quality, keeps me coming back

I've bought from Tide Optics a few times now, mainly for their ND filters. This time I got an ND8 filter and it's just as good as my previous ND64. The quality has been consistently high across all my purchases; no issues with threading or optical clarity. Their magnetic filter system, which I picked up last year, also still works perfectly. I appreciate that I know what I'm getting when I order from them, no surprises. The filters just work, and that reliability is why I keep choosing them for my photography gear.

Can I return a filter if it doesn't fit or I just don't like the effect?

J Josh J. 2 months ago
Yeah, I returned one once. Process was pretty straightforward, just had to pay for shipping back to the UK.

Returns are fine. Just make sure it's in new condition and you initiate the return within their window, I think it's 30 days.

Thinking of grabbing a CineBloom filter. How do I figure out what size I need for my lens? Is there a chart or something?

B Ben 2 months ago
Your lens cap usually has the size printed on the inside of it, it'll be a number followed by a Ø symbol. Just match that number.

B Beth 2 months ago
Most lenses have the filter size marked on the front rim or on the lens itself, it's a small number like 67mm or 77mm. Check your lens manual too if you can't find it.

Is it possible to use more than one discount code at checkout? Like a newsletter sign-up plus an influencer code?

B Brett 3 months ago
Nah, usually only one code per order. Tried it before, didn't work.

Most online stores, including this one, only let you use one promo code at a time. Pick the best one you have!

Are Tide Optics filters real glass? Or are they plastic/resin?

G Greg D. 2 months ago
They're glass, definitely. Feels premium.

Pretty sure they use glass. I've got a couple and they feel substantial, not like cheap resin filters.

Heard good things about Tide Optics. How do they compare to PolarPro filters?

B Ben Z. 2 months ago
I've used both. Tide Optics diffusion filters are really nice, I'd say on par with PolarPro for those. NDs are solid too.

PolarPro is good but Tide Optics offers some unique effects filters. For the money, Tide Optics is a strong contender, especially their magnetic system.
